We at J Fuels are proud to announce that our services are expanding. We are now offering delivery of Fuel Oil (more commonly known as home heating oil). Loosely speaking fuel oil is any liquid that is burned in a furnace or boiler to generate heat or is used in an engine to generate power with some exceptions. It typically is the heaviest fuel that can be obtained from crude oil as is very similar to diesel fuel.

This oil has been a driving force in the world economy. It has powered ships, planes, trains, trucks, and even some cars. It is still used as a backup power source in many power plants, though at one time it was used to generate massive amounts of power all across the world. Its role in that sector has been reduced by the amount of pollution it created and the rise of natural gas as an alternative power source. But its most prominent role today is heating your home. While much of the country has tapped into other sources of power, many homes, particularly here in the northeastern United States continue to use fuel oil as a heating source.  You can probably guess that most of the demand here for heating oil is seasonal owing to the colder temperatures outside that winter will bring. New York and Pennsylvania are the top two states for consuming fuel oil but it is used in every state in the Union, even Hawaii.
